Absolutely amazing experience. We came from out of town and were looking for some good food and the Jackson house more than met the expectations. Very very friendly and welcoming staff. I felt right at home. Then the food. We got the Jackson Burger and the American Cheese Burger. Both were cooked exactly how we asked. I definitely recommend the Jackson burger. They brought the food right to us and it was pretty good service despite the busy lunch rush coming in. And the prices were very very reasonable. I 1000% recommend the Jackson house!!
One of the best places to grab lunch in Harrisburg. The food is fantastic, service is great, and prices are reasonable. The cheese steaks are super filling and delicious. They are cash only, and always busy, so plan to get there early (or call ahead).
Went in for the first time and had an awesome experience. Corey helped me out and recommended the “Badaboom” sub—honestly the best sub I’ve ever had. Great flavor, fresh ingredients, and super filling. The service was friendly and laid-back, which made the whole visit even better. Definitely coming back here, and I’ll be asking Corey what else I should try next time!
Absolutely loved it. They nailed it. I felt like I was in an old school Italian mom and pop shop in Brooklyn, which is where they're from along with the Bronx. And of course being from Brooklyn, I absolutely adore that fact. Good vibes, good, service, good food. I love all of the NY decor and the pictures/writings on the wall. It felt like a homey cafeteria. That was the best burger I've had in years. Literally. It was cooked so perfectly and it was so filling. And the prices are great! Omg. I'm eager to go back and try a cheese steak next!
They get so busy but the staff is always very friendly and as busy as they are the wait is never long. Outstanding subs and burgers. I come here at least once every time I visit the city (from Pittsburgh). Thanks being awesome guys!

GREAT PLACE!! - Best burger I ever had. The fries reminded me of the boardwalk - Amazing! The employees are so welcoming, always asking how you’re doing. Running around serving everyone as quickly as possible. The one guy even came out into the dinning room to wrap leftovers for people. The definition of Above and Beyond!!

Excellent Burger and Sandwich shop. This place has an authentic old school Philadelphia or New York feel to it. The service was both prompt and friendly. This place offers a vast variety of hamburgers, hoagies, sandwiches, and subs with only the finest ingredients and bread. I most certainly enjoyed the decor as well which made me feel as if I were in a sandwich shop in the Bronx or Philadelphia during the 1960's. I ordered a Philly Cheese Steak sub that did not disappoint.
Stopped by the Jackson House for a quick lunch based on the reviews and wanting a cheesesteak and this place doesn’t disappoint! Highly recommend the 9th and Washington cheesesteak and everything else that people were having looked great. Best part aside from the food is the wonderful service, the staff are beyond friendly and go out of their way to make sure that you feel comfortable and have everything that you want. Highly recommend!
